IEEP provides staff extension resources, specifically energy efficiency technologies, to municipal electric and gas utilities in New York. The IEEP is a Not-for-Profit corporation under Section 402 of the Not-for-Profit Corporation law of New York. This Not-for-Profit corporation, appropriately filed and registered with the Secretary of State of New York, exists at the direction of the New York Municipal Utilities members of the IEEP. The IEEP seeks energy solutions designed to create measurable advantages for New York State municipal utilities and customers in a technology-focused environment.
IEEP administer assistance and incentive programs for both the member Municipal Utilities and the customers of the member Municipal Utilities. Often, customers of Municipal Utilities, such as Churchville, Fairport and Spencerport, are not eligible for incentive programs funded through the System Benefit Charge (SBC) or are offered by an investor owned utility such as RG&E, NYSEG and National Grid. Alternatively, IEEP has its own collection incentive and rebate programs. VIsit IEEP Website
